Optalis Healthcare, based in Novi, Michigan, is a Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living organization that has been serving the senior population in Michigan and Ohio since 1984. Optalis started in southeast Michigan and has strategically expanded their operations into central Ohio. Optalis now owns and operates 30 properties represented in their portfolio and they currently employ 6,000 team members. Optalis is a stable, healthy and profitable company whose portfolio includes $1B in assets and growing, with acquisitions in process. Optalis is currently the 4th largest Senior Care organization in Michigan.
Position Overview:
The CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry. Overall responsibility for accounting, budgeting, reporting, information systems and payroll.
Working as a collaborative leader, the CFO is responsible for managing and reporting on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs, including reporting to investors, lenders, grantors, and government agencies; cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance department.
The CFO collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Optalis as well as the Board of Managers to develop and implement the organization's business plan to meet its strategic goals.
Education and Experience Required:

Higher education with a preference of Master’s degree or higher

CPA or Accounting Degree strongly preferred

Skilled Nursing experience preferred

5+ years of Executive Leadership experience

Subject matter expert in all areas of finance including accounting, cost reporting, budget processes, etc.
