Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:- Background in dementia care, behavioral issues, and knowledge of current issues in Alzheimer’s related topics.
- Knowledge of the psychological, social and physiological needs and challenges older adults with dementia. Practices Validation techniques as appropriate.
- Program development, oversight, and quality management.
- Willingness to cooperate and work as part of a team.
- Adaptable and flexible enough to adjust to meet resident and staff needs.
- Self-motivating and able to work independently.
- Superior communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing, to residents, co-workers, and families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in dementia care, developing programs,Education: Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Valid state issued driver license and limited local travel are a requirement of this position.
