The Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association (PALA) is a professional not-for-profit trade association representing Personal Care Home and Assisted Living Providers for-profit and not-for-profit in Pennsylvania that vary in size from small owners to large state and national corporations. PALA is recognized as an association dedicated to helping Personal Care Home and Assisted Living Providers address relevant issues and challenges as they arise in the emerging industry.
PALA provides education, unity, advocacy and interaction with our sole purpose of raising awareness through education of the public, private, regulatory and legislative sectors.
One of PALA's primary objectives is to provide a unified voice of the Homes and Residences we represent and the residents we all serve by advocating for informed choice, quality care and accessibility for seniors residing in the Commonwealth.
The relationships we have developed with the Department of Public Welfare - Bureau of Human Services Licensing, Office of Long Term Living, Governor of the state, and the Standing Committees in the Pennsylvania General Assembly allow PALA to maintain open lines of communication on regulatory and legislative issues affecting our members and their residents.
